“Don’t worry because I’m going to fight them off.”

During the Nerd HQ “Conversations for a Cause” with Matt, Karen, and Arthur

I love this, so very very much.

Some people would say something sly and patronizing to this girl, and make all the grown-ups laugh. “Ohhh the weeping angels are sooo scary bla bla blah.” But Matt asks this young lady if she’s scared, and she’s honest, and he sees the seriousness in her - because she believes this stuff, it’s part of her universe! And he goes into that universe with her, and tells her the truth from her perspective. He doesn’t say “It’s all pretend, sweetie, there’s nothing to be scared of,” or “Those silly weeping angels can’t hurt you,” or “The Doctor’s got it covered,” or dismiss her in any way. He steps into her world, and promises her that she’ll be safe in a language that she understands.

In my opinion this is the dictionary definition of respecting someone else’s beliefs. You win, Matt. You win so damn hard.

I love this man so much. It gave me goosebumps <3

i love this man.

Frozen Bubbles Suspended Below Abraham Lake

Abraham Lake has become world famous, especially amongst photographers. The artificial lake, which lies in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, is home to a rare phenomenon where bubbles get frozen right underneath its surface. They’re often referred to as ice bubbles or frozen bubbles.

What causes this to happen? As photographer Fikret Onal explains, “The plants on the lake bed release methane gas and methane gets frozen once coming close enough to much colder lake surface and they keep stacking up below once the weather gets colder and colder during [the] winter season.”

Though a gorgeous sight, this incredible destination isn’t for the weak or the weary. “Even though I’ve walked on a frozen lake before, Abraham Lake made me feel completely uneasy since the lake was not covered with snow,” says Onal. “Even though the icy surface was around 8-9 inches thick, it still scared the hell out of me, not only because of the fact that I could see all the cracks…and the darkness of the lake bottom through the glassy surface, but also [because of] the deep boomy, cracking sounds coming from underneath the lake’s surface.”

My heart is beating with a passion, because it knows there is something out there worth beating for. Something to seek out.
My heart is beating because I won’t give up until it finds what it’s been waiting for, what it has set out for it. And I am happy because I know some day in the future I will get it.
I want to be loved but I can feel right now the love of the person who is meant for me. And I can feel the love of my heavenly father whom I have trusted to write this path for me.

It’s quite difficult to accept that someone I thought I knew well would do something like that.. it shocks me, but only because I’ve been living in such a spiritual manner nowadays. I cannot judge a person based on my morals. Obviously she loves him a lot, and that’s very heartwarming. If only I were in the same situation perhaps I would feel different. However, I just haven’t found the right guy to change my mind about that yet. I don’t see me with that ‘right guy’ anytime soon.. and I just have to stay the pure, respectful girl that I grew to be these last months.

Funny how all my life up until recently I’ve pushed religion away, but now I have accepted it on my own, not from a church. Patience for time which ties everything together in my life. Patience and peace, and beauty of nature.

I really see a man raised from religion attractive. How can I take the others seriously if they don’t see life the same way I do? I have to wait for my right guy and I will. Someone who loves life like I do. Until then, Art needs to come back to me.
